Update #1
Sadie has a new liver! Surgery went great, and her color already looks so much better. The surgeons showed us a picture of her old liver, and it was not good. We are praising the Lord that she got a new liver so soon, and we didn’t have to wait for months knowing she was so sick. Please keep praying for her recovery as well as the donor’s family. We couldn’t imagine being on their side of this transplant.

Update #2
(From Mariah, Sadie's mom)
Sadie is doing well since the transplant! She is still intubated and sedated, which is normal this soon after surgery. Her body is so little, they weren’t able to close her abdomen back up yesterday (also normal). It’s covered with surgical dressings, but they did let us see when they changed the dressings. They’re giving her another day or two for the swelling to go down, and then she’ll have another surgery to close the skin. Then, 6-12 months later, she’ll have another surgery to reattach the muscle.
If anyone would like to send her a card, you can for FREE! Follow the link below, fill out her name, and she’s in room 510 in the PICU of UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Obviously, she doesn’t understand cards now, but we will hang them in her room while we’re here and save them for her when she’s older!

(From Chase, Sadie's dad)
Just wanted to come on here and say I have been trying to focus on Sadie and not get on social media too much, but Mariah and I are so unbelievably thankful for all the love and support that we have received for our little one. This is the hardest test our family has ever been put through, but she is steady after surgery and we face a long road ahead to recovery. We serve a mighty God and may not understand his purpose, but we have to trust that His will is perfect and that He has a plan for her life. The financial support from friends and strangers, the prayers and biblical anointings for her, and cards/messages have been the biggest blessing to our family. We could never express our gratitude enough, and everything we have been so graciously gifted is going straight to medical bills and travel expenses for Mariah and me. We love you all, and may God continue to bless little Sadie on her long road to recovery!

I write these words with a pastor’s heart – heavy, honest, and hopeful.
We must face the truth together: Unity Church is in a critical season. Attendance has declined. Giving is barely meeting the needs of the church. There are few volunteers. Some Sundays feel discouraging. The reality is this: if something does not change, our church cannot continue the way it is.
But I do not believe God is finished with Unity.
In scripture, we see repeatedly that God brings life where things look dead. Ezekiel stood in a valley of dry bones, and God asked him, “Can these bones live?” Humanly speaking, the answer looked like no. But with God, the answer was yes. God breathed life into what looked lifeless.
That is my prayer for Unity.
But revival does not happen by accident. Renewal requires prayer, repentance, sacrifice, unity, and action. We simply cannot hope people will come. We must invite them. We cannot simply talk about ministry. We must serve. We cannot simply remember what Unity used to be. We must ask God what He wants Unity to become.

Church, this is not the time to complain, quit, or sit back. This is the time to pray harder, love deeper, give faithfully, invite boldly, and serve joyfully.
I am asking every member of Unity to do four things this month:
Pray daily for our church. Ask God to send revival, workers, families, children, and new believers.
Be present. Your attendance matters. When you are missing, the church feels it.
Invite someone every week. A friend, neighbor, coworker, family member, or someone who has stopped attending church.
Find one place to serve. No church can grow if only a few people carry the load.

The question before us is not simply, “Can Unity survive?” The greater question is, “Are we willing to do what God requires for Unity to live again?”
I still believe God can do a new thing in this church. I still believe souls can be saved. I still believe families can be reached.
I still believe Unity can become a place of worship, discipleship, fellowship, and mission again.
Let us humble ourselves before the Lord and ask Him to revive us again.

With love, urgency, and hope - Pastor Eddie
